The Club Swiss International Mountain Marathon (hereinafter referred to as "SIMM" or "We" or "Us") is pleased about your visit to our website and mobile applications (together also "online offer") and your interest in our marathon.

We respect your privacy

The protection of your privacy in the processing of personal data as well as the security of all personal data is an important concern that we take into account in our processes. Processing of personal data

Processed data categories

Communication data (eg name, telephone number, e-mail address, address, IP address) are processed.

Processing Principles

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers or e-mail addresses that are an expression of a person's identity.

We process personal data only if there is a legal basis for this or you in this regard, for. As part of an event registration, have given your consent.

Furthermore your registration data will be registered (server location Switzerland), so that you can simply register for further events.

Log Files

Each time you use the Internet, certain information is automatically transmitted by your Internet browser and stored by us in so-called log files.

The log files are stored by us for a short period of time to identify faults and for security reasons (eg to investigate attack attempts) and then deleted. Log files whose further storage is required for evidence purposes are excluded from the deletion until the final clarification of the respective incident and can be forwarded to investigating authorities in individual cases.

The following information is stored in the log files in particular:

  • IP address (Internet Protocol address) of the terminal from which the portal is accessed
  • Internet address of the website from which the online offer was called (so-called origin or referrer URL)
  • Name of the service provider used to access the online offer
  • Name of the retrieved files or information
  • Date and time as well as the duration of the call

Transfer of data to service providers

We commission external service providers (from Switzerland) with tasks such as programming and data hosting. We have carefully selected these service providers and monitor them regularly, in particular their careful handling and protection of the data stored with them. All service providers are obliged by us to confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.

Disclosure and use of personal data

You can only use certain offers on the site if you provide personal data. For some offers, it is sufficient to state your email address (e.g. newsletter), for other services we require you to provide your surname and first name, address, telephone number, year of birth and email address. For legal reasons, SIMM is obliged to be able to document all transactions in a comprehensible manner during the statutory periods. We treat your personal data in accordance with the applicable Swiss data protection law. This means that the SIMM undertakes to use personal data carefully and exclusively for the purposes indicated. The SIMM receives the right to use the postal address, email address and mobile number for the delivery of information about events, products, services or other offers. You have the opportunity to correct the personal data entrusted to us at any time by notifying us by email or post.

The running results of our events are made available to visitors on our website. The run results tables contain information on the first name, team name and placement & run time.

By participating in the Swiss International Mountain Marathon you agree to the storage & display of this data in the form of a result table.

Photographs

During the run you may be photographed by our photographer. A selection of these images are used on our website as well as excerpts from them on social media. If you want to exercise your right to your own picture and request deletion, please contact us by email.

Duration of storage; retention periods

We generally store your data as long as this is necessary for the provision of our online offer and the associated services or we have a legitimate interest in the further storage (eg we can still have a justified interest in the postal service after an event Have marketing). In all other cases, we will delete your personal information other than information that we need to retain in order to comply with legal obligations.

Data of registered participants

The data of the registered participants are required to carry out the run. The personal details of the participants are still listed on the start and result lists of the respective event after a run.

Last name, first name, place of residence and year of birth of the runners are shown in the form of rankings or Ranking lists published on this page, social media (Facebook / LinkedIn / instagram), routegadget.ch and swiss-orienteering.ch.

As part of providing our online presence, cookies and tracking mechanisms may be used. Cookies are small text files that can be stored on your device when you visit an online service. Tracking is possible using different technologies. We process information, in particular as part of the log file analysis.

This site uses the mapping service Google Maps via an API. Provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

To use the features of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google LLC server in the United States. The provider of this page has no influence on this data transfer.

The use of Google Maps is for the sake of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy findability of the places we specify on the website. This constitutes an overriding legitimate interest on our part in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Google reCAPTCHA

To ensure reasonable data security when using contact forms, we may in some cases use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google LLC. This is mainly used to distinguish whether the input is made by a natural person or abusive by automated and automated processing. This constitutes an overriding legitimate interest on our part in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. This online offering uses the YouTube video sharing platform, powered by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066, USA ("YouTube"). YouTube is a platform that enables the playback of audio and video files.

When you visit a related page in our offer, the embedded YouTube player connects to YouTube so that the video or audio file can be streamed and played back. It will also transfer data to YouTube as the person responsible. We are not responsible for the processing of this data by YouTube.
